Brandon started the game well with Theo having three earlier
chances to put Brandon in the lead but failed to score any
of them. Cringleford kept on pressing Brandon but with some
splendid defending from Mitch kept them away. In the second
quarter Brandon started the game brightly and were looking
to score early on. Cringleford kept on attacking Brandon in
numbers but Rhys pulled off some quality saves. The third
quarter started and Robbie scored an early goal. And that
was when Brandon started to get going with Theo scoring the
next and Rhys Jenkins scoring as well. It was the last
quarter and Brandon were enjoying themselves playing some
lovely football and scoring as well with Connor and then
Robbie got his second. Cringleford played a long pass from
kick off catching Brandon asleep and scored. So Brandon got
there heads together and Mitch played a lovely ball up
towards Theo and scored his second. Cringleford started to
play some nice football and scored a well work goal. It was
the last minute and Robbie played a through ball to Theo and
he got his well deserved Hat-Trick.

The 1st
period was very hard fought contest with little chance for
either side to open the scoring, but in the second period
Brandon began to dominate the game but the combination
of wasted opportunities, solid Goalkeeping and outstanding
defending kept the scores locked at 0-0 at the half way
point.
From
the start of the third period Brandon started to make
their dominants pay with two goals from Theo Stasiak,
the first an excellent run and calm finish, the second
saw Stasiak finish from close range off a rebound after
a well struck shot was saved by the Weeting 'Keeper. But
Weeting were determined not to see their brave second
period efforts go to waste and quickly struck back to
make the score 2-1, the goals continued to come in the
period with Kean Ridge grabbing his second of the season
with a well struck shot from the edge of the area, and
just as it seemed that Brandon would finish the period
with a 3-1 advantage Weeting ensured an exciting final
period with a late goal to make the score 3 2.
In the
final period Brandon should have rounded off a good
display by completing the win. But Weeting showed their
determination once more by quickly pulling the scores
level at 3-3, after seeing their lead snatched away
Brandon pushed once more and soon found the back of the
net once more when Robbie Hunter round off a superb
performance with a brave goal amidst a scramble of
players. After coming back to 3-3 only to fall 4-3
behind Weeting's heads could have dropped but they dug
deeper and found yet another equaliser to level the
scores at 4-4 with only minutes to go, and with only
seconds of the game remaining and seemingly headed for a
draw, Weeting snatch the win with a calmly taken finish.
Brandon ended the game disappointed but Weeting deserved
the win for the determination and 'never say die'
attitude.
Brandon MoM was Robbie Hunter for an excellent all round
performance.
