Sunday 30 Nov 2008 League trophy 1st leg
Swaffham 5 Brandon Lads 1
Brandon played against a strong wind in the first half
against a determined Swaffham side. It was the home team who
made the early running and Brandon knew they were in for a
hard game, despite this Swaffham failed to really test the
pairing of Lewis Norton and Lewis Stevenson.
Swaffham were awarded a penalty when Jack Field pulled down
the striker, this was converted well to put Swaffham one up.
Brandon started the second half but were still up against
it, Swaffham are a strong team and were quick in the tackle.
Brandon had chances but failed to convert them and once
Lewis Norton was carried off injured were a little
lightweight at the back. Swaffham scored four unanswered
goals to put the game beyond Brandon. Brandon got one back
late on through Jordan Kemp after some great play from Sam
Chappell and Harry Rampley. The final minutes Brandon
threatened and should have got closer for the return leg.
Swaffham thoroughly deserved their victory however the score
line flattered them somewhat

Dereham Diamonds 0 Brandon Lads 16
Brandon got back to winning ways against Dereham. It took
them no time to get into their stride however the finishing
was not good enough. Sam Chappell broke the deadlock with a
shot from the edge of the box. Harry Rampley got Brandon's
second soon after with another smartly taken shot. Brandon
had more chances, Jordan Kemp having two in quick succession
but failed to take full advantage. Soon after Jordan Kemp
did score, Harry Rampley's cross was perfect and Jordan
headed in. Isaac Allen got Brandon's next with another great
strike from outside the box ,he gave the keeper no chance.
Jordan was next with his second, neat play with Reece
Sanders beat the off side trap and Jordan slotted the ball
home. Reece Sanders provided Jordan with another chance soon
after but Jordan's shot was saved well. Harry Rampley
completed the first half scoring from a corner, the ball
beating everyone to make it six.
Brandon started the second as they had ended the first,
Harry Rampley picked the ball up, took it past two defenders
and finished for a goal of real quality. Harry scored
another minutes later with another goal from distance and
Jordan Kemp was unlucky when he beat the Dereham defence for
pace and struck the post. Brandon defenders had little to do
throughout the game but must be commended for the their
discipline ,Adam Kostecki ,Lewis Norton and Lewis
Stevenson all stayed alert and dealt with any danger
well. Harry Rampleys free kick provided Brandon next goal,
Jack Slaughter heading home well. Sam Chappell received the
ball on the edge of the box, pushed the ball past the
defender and finished with his left foot. Sean Hills was
next to feature, he impressed throughout the game and was
unlucky when his free kick was saved by the keeper. The next
goal was another of real quality not just for the execution
but for the way Harry saw the keeper off his line and lobbed
the keeper from way outside the area. Jacob Bogle
added the next with a perfect lob inside the area and he
provided the next for Harry Rampley who finished neatly, Sam
Chappell was unlucky not to get his third when his
header hit the post and Kane Philpott was unlucky when
his shot was saved .Sean Hills and Charlie Power completed
the scoring with two well taken goals, Lewis Stevenson and
Lewis Norton providing the chances.

Watton 4 Brandon Lads 3
Brandon began the game against a strong head wind and a good
Watton team. Both teams were defending 100% league records
but it was Brandon who started the better. Harry Rampleys
pace caused Watton problems and he could bagged himself two
early goals. Watton had their own chances and Jack Field was
in top form twice saving twice from good shots. Watton took
the lead with a well taken chance .This spurred Brandon
on and they equalised soon after when Jordan Kemp chased a
lost caused and deserved his goal. Brandon were much the
better team from this point and took the lead through Jordan
kemp again who finished well from a smart pass from Lewis
Stevenson. Watton attacked again and were awarded a
debatable penalty ,Jack Field made a brilliant save to give
Brandon a half time lead.
Second half again started well for Brandon and they made all
the running, Watton found it difficult to get out of their
own half for long periods of the game Harry Rampley and
Charlie Power running them ragged at times. It was no
surprise when Brandon increased their lead Jordan Kemps
cross beating the keeper and going in off the post. I'm not
really sure what happened next whether it was Watton
rallying or Brandon throwing things away but Watton turned
things around in the final fifteen minutes. Watton's second
goal was against the run of play but by the time Watton
scored their third they were well on top. Watton got the winner
with a quality goal late in the game. Brandon played a great
game but Watton resilience won them the game.

Brandon Lads 4 Dereham Wanderers Yellow 1
Brandon started well and had all the early chances.
They took the lead through Charlie Power who controlled well
and calmly placed the ball past the diving Dereham
goalkeeper. Brandon had more chances and were unlucky and
few minutes after when Harry Rampleys perfect corner was
almost headed in by Sam Chappell. Dereham were next to
threaten and could have equalised but for good work from
Lewis Norton and Lewis Stevenson. Brandon extended
their lead soon after when another great corner was turned
in this time by Chappell. Jacob Bogle had a shot saved by
the keeper and Jordan Kemp should have scored after a
brilliant move between Isaac Allen,Harry Rampley and Charlie
Power.
The second half was more comfortable for Brandon, they
pressed Dereham back for much of the half Jack Field had
little to do but always looked confident in his handling,
Sean Hills played well at right back and Adam Kostecki was
steady on the left. The two centre halves were impressive
throughout and have form a great understanding. Jacob Bogle
played some good football particularly when Alex Clark came
on and they linked up brilliantly with Harry Rampley and
Charlie Power on a number of occasions to create good
chances. Jordan Kemp was unlucky when he hit the
woodwork from another impressive corner before Harry
Rampley scored Brandon's third with a great solo run and
fine finish over the Dereham keeper. Brandon got a fourth
soon after from Isaac Allen. Dereham got one back after a
mix up at the back but Brandon came out impressive winners

Brandon Lads 3 Cringleford 2
Cringleford started the brighter of these two well matched
teams. Brandon were pushed back for the early exchanges but
dealt well with all Cringleford attacks. Good defending from
Lewis Stevenson cleared any danger. Brandon soon were into
there stride and played the better football, the two wide
players Jacob Bogle and Charlie Power created early chances
for Jordan Kemp. Brandon took the lead half way through the
half when Isaac Allen picked the ball in midfield and hit an
unstoppable shot which gave the Cringleford keeper no
chance. It was all Brandon now and it looked as if it would
be game over by half time. Another attacked produced
Brandon's second Charlie Power pickup up the ball and picked
his spot brilliantly from distance. The Cringleford defence
were at full stretch but managed to keep the two Brandon
strikers fairly quiet Harry Rampley and Jordan Kemp worked
hard against an organised defence. Brandon nearly had a
third when Jordan Kemp pulled a ball back for Harry Rampley
who saw his shot go just over the goal. For all Brandon's
pressure it was Cringleford who halved the lead with a
quality lob from the edge of the box.
Second half Cringleford pressed Brandon back and soon
equalised another smart finish which left Jack Field no
chance in goal. Jack made some good saves soon after and
Jordan Scott cleared one off the line. Brandon's dominance
in the first half was matched by Cringleford in the second,
they had much of the play but Brandon worked hard to keep
themselves in the game, it was almost certainly this spirit
the pulled them through and when Harry Rampley picked up a
through ball late on he finished over the Cringleford keeper
to restore Brandon's lead. Brandon closed the game out and
showed massive character to win a game which looked as if it
was going away from them.

Brandon Lads 1 Ipswich Exciles U13 9
Tesco Under 13 cup
Brandon welcomed Ipswich Exciles under 13 for the first round
of the Tesco under 13 county cup. Despite their opponents
being a year older the lads really put in a good performance,
this will be a good experience for these players and they
should not feel disappointed even at the final score line.
Harry Rampley scored a fine goal for Brandon and the home team
had other chances to score but could not convert them. keep
your heads up lads.

Brandon Lads 5 Swaffham 1
Brandon started the game brightly and created early chances
for Jordan Kemp, however outstanding goalkeeping denied him
three times. Harry Rampley was busy and he too was thwarted by
the excellent Swaffham keeper. Swaffham played their part in a
good first half and had chances themselves, a mixture of poor
finishing and good keeping from Jack Field kept the game
level. Brandon won a corner late on, it was only half
cleared by Swaffham, the ball fell to Lewis Stevenson and he
finished. Brandon got their second soon afterwards Charlie
Power in the right place to finish after the keeper had saved.
Brandon's work rate was excellent and thoroughly deserved
their half time lead. The defence were solid particularly
Lewis Norton playing there for the first time. Second half
began and Swaffham put on a lot of pressure Brandon found it
hard to clear the danger and Jack field was called upon to
clear the danger. It was because of Swaffham's pushing forward
that Brandon got their third Sam Chappell's pass found
Jordan Kemp in space and he finished well. Brandon looked safe
now and were piling on pressure particularly on the wings Sean
Hills and particular Jacob Bogle were outstanding. Charlie
Power got the forth goal again following up after Jordan
Kemps shot was saved well. Swaffham got a goal back from a
smart header from a corner but it was Brandon who finished off
the scoring when substitute Alex Clark crossed the ball into
the box and Harry Rampley scored. Probably not Brandon's best
football but their work rate was outstanding throughout a
tough game.

New Buckenham 0 Brandon Lads 13
Brandon started their game against New Buckenham brightly
enough, there football was good enough however
finishing was wasteful. It did not take long for Brandon to
take the lead, Isaac Allen breaking away to finish
well. Jordan Kemp got the second with another well
taken effort. Brandon were in full control of the
game however New Buckenham were determined to keep the score
down. Jack Field had a quiet day at the back and new boy
Lewis Stevenson was impressive throughout. Jack Slaughter
was next to score with a nice header from Harry Rampleys
corner. Brandon got two more before half time through Jordan
Kemp and Harry Rampley. Second half saw New Buckenham tire
and if it had not been for their goalkeeper things could
have been a lot worse. Charlie Power finished after others
should of , Jordan Kemp got his third and Harry Rampley
scored from distance to make it eight. Next came the best
goal of the game Jacob Bogle broke down the wing and when he
crossed the ball Alex Clark finished like a pro. Sam
Chappell supplied passes for the next two goals, Harry
Rampley and Jordan Kemp finishing the moves off. Next goal
was scored by the impressive Lewis Stevenson, he hit a
unstoppable shot from way outside the area leaving the
keeper no chance. Harry Rampley finished the scoring off with
another well taken effort after good work from Adam Vincent.
Sunday 7 Sept 2008
Brandon lads 6 Rocklands 4
Brandon began the new season against a strong Rocklands team. The
early exchanges were even but it was Rockland who took the
lead when Brandon were caught by the Rocklands forwards
pace. It got even worse when Rocklands won a corner soon
after and extended their lead. Brandon showed a lot of
spirit to get back into the game and the impressive Charlie
Power scored after a great through pass from Harry Rampley.
Brandon were playing some great stuff and equalized, Jordan
Kemp scored a great individual goal wrong footing two
defenders before rounding the keeper. Harry Rampley got the
next from a pass by Charlie Power, Harry scoring easily
past the Keeper from the edge of the box.
Second half Brandon played some great stuff they looked as
if they would score every time they went forward. Rocklands
looked dangerous going forward and the Brandon defence were
kept constantly busy.
Harry Rampley got his second after lobbing the keeper and
soon after completed his hattrick after being put through by
Jordan Kemp. Brandon put the game beyond Rockland's with a
sixth goal Jordan Kemp's shot saved by the keeper but
Charlie Power following up to score his second. Rocklands
got two late goals back but Brandon finished winners.
