Suffolk Girls League knock out cup 1st round
Brandon Lasses 5 Sizewell & Knodishall 0
Brandon faced a much improved Sizewell side who
frustrated the Lasses who despite continuous pressure could
not find away past the visitors until well into the second
half. The Lasses with a full squad of players and made
changes throughout the game to give all the squad a run out
and most importantly expedience to some of the newer
players. Charley Curtis opened the scoring and then a flurry
on goals late on Georgia O'Malley 2, Charley with her second
and Ellesse Masters put the Lasses through to the semi
finals.

Brandon Lasses 7 Sizewell & Knodishall 0
The Lasses got of to a good start with Bethany Field passing
the ball into Georgia O'Malley to slot home, Bethany then
scored direct from a corner with a well delivered ball.
Ellesse Masters scored a good solo effort and then added two
more for her hat trick both set up by Chloe
Killingworth. Sophie Evans and Rachel Short both made their
debut appearances for the club both having some good
touches.
Patricia Grazinni hard work in midfield and set up Geogia
for her second of the match and Ellesse scored her fourth to
make it 7-0. Katie Meeson had little to do and both Lucy
Page and Courtney Scott defended well. Chloe Slater worked
well down the left and was unlucky not to be on the score
sheet but for some good Goal keeping from the visiting
keeper.

Woodbridge 0 Brandon Lasses 10
A comfortable victory for the Lasses against a spirited
Woodbridge side who put bodies behind the ball early on to
keep the visitors out. With the Brandon pressure it was
only a matter of time before they broke the deadlock and
Ellesse Masters put them in front 10 mins into the game. She
then added two more before Bethany Field put a neat ball into
Patricia Grazzini to finish well. The Lasses then started
playing better football and capitalised in the second half
with goals from Georgia O'Malley Chloe Killingworth and Chloe
Slater . Katie Meeson, Lucy Page and Courtney Scott controlled
things defensively for the visitors to keep a clean sheet.
Ellesse finished the game off with three more goals for her
double hatrick. A good team performance.

Felixstowe Hawks 0 Brandon Lasses 3
Brandon put the home side under early pressure but a
resilient Hawks side soaked up the pressure and it took
until mid-way through the half for Ellesse Masters to give
the visitors the advantage. Charley Curtis was
unfortunate straight after seeing her shot come off both
posts and out. Credit to Felixstowe who closed the ball down
well and stopped the Lasses passing it around. h/t 0-1.
Ellesse scored her second early in the second half with a
good finish and Georgia O'Malley scored the Lasses third
with a good break and cool finish from mid-field.
Not the best football game from Brandon they are capable of
passing the ball far better but three points all
the same.

Brandon Lasses 3 Little Oakley 0
With both sides unbeaten this season the Lasses new this
would be a good competitive game. Brandon looked dangerous
on the break hitting the post twice in the opening period.
The visitors were always a threat but the Lasses defence put
in a superb performance with Bethany Field , Courtney Scott,
Lucy Paige and Patricia Grazzini when she was introduced all
defending superbly and controlling the game. Ellesse Masters
put Brandon in front late in the half with a good finish.
Brandon Started the second half well with Patricia sending
Georgia O'Malley through to slot home and then the Lasses
started to play some good passing football with Georgia ,
Charley Curtis, Chloe Killingworth, Chloe Slater and Ellesse
all linking well. as the game moved on Brandon created good
chances and Charley scored a well deserved third goal for
the home team. A quiet game for Katie Meeson in goal but as
usual she was always quick to react on the few times the
defence broke down.
This was a very good football performance by the whole team
with every player playing their part!

Brandon Lasses 4 Copleston 3
Brandon got of to a great start
scoring with their first attack in the opening minute
through Ellesse Masters. Copleston then started to put the
home team under pressure and were rewarded with two goals
midway through the half. Georgia O'Malley responded
immediately with a well placed shot to pull the scores
level. Copleston came
out strong in the second half and regained the advantage but
the Lasses responded again through Ellesse and then put
themselves back in front after a good delivery into the box
was deflected into the goal. The visitors pressured well
looking for an equaliser and Brandon had to dig deep to keep
them out, Lucy Page was outstanding in defence against
a strong front line and along with Courtney Scott did a good
job. Georgia O'Malley put in a very good tireless battling
performance in the Lasses mid-field and the hole team
responded well to a strong and much improved Copleston side
in a very close game.
Sunday 14 Sept 2008
Bacton 0 Brandon Lasses 6
Both teams had chances early on the Lasses putting the home
team under pressure but Bacton came close on the break hitting
the post. Mid-way through the half Chloe Slater scored the
Lasses first goal of the new season with a fine finish from
out side the area, this was followed by Ellesse Masters
finishing well to give the visitors a two lead into the
break.
Brandon added to their lead early in the second half after
Georgia O'Malley put a good ball into Chloe Killingworth
to finish well slipping the ball under the keeper. A good
goal kick from Katie Meeson sent Ellesse free to make it
four and Chloe Slater added her second from a corner,
followed by Ellesse completing her hat trick. A good all
round team performance to start the season.
