SGL Knock out cup final

Brandon Lasses went into this fixture confident after a superb first season looking to add the League Cup to the League title but found themselves up against a hard working Copleston side finding hard to make a break through. The girls did eventually find a way through midway through the half after some lovely play from Ellesse Masters pulled the pull back for Charlie Curtis to finish well. Brandon doubled the lead on half-time with a well taken Shannon Odebrecht penalty.
Copleston had their chances but Lucy Paige showed superb form in the Lasses defence and Shannon finished the game of with speculative long ball in which found its way through into the goal. 

Sat 29 March 2008 Brandon Lasses 13 Porlingland 0

After a long lay off without a fixture Brandon entertained Norfolk side Poringland in a friendly. The Lasses performance demonstrated the whole squads improvement throughout the season with the goals being spread between the team and created through some lovely passing football by all. Scorers: Charley Curtis x 4,
Ellesse Masters x 4, Georgia O'Malley x 2, Lucy Paige x 2 & Chloe Slater.


Sun 2 March 2008 Brandon Lasses 5 Bacton 0

Brandon under 10's completed a superb first season in the Suffolk Girls Football League with maximum points in league and league cup.
Credit to the whole squad who have shown great attitude and completed their league fixtures with a 5-0 victory over Bacton.
The Lasses started well going one up through Charley Curtis in the first minute Chloe Slater then scored her first league goal followed by a good finish by Shannon Odebrecht. Ellesse Masters made it four after some really good build up play and Georgia O'Malley finished well from the penalty spot. The girls now have the league cup final to look forward in April!


Sun 27 Jan 2008 Brandon Lasses 3 Copleston 1

Both teams competed well in a tight first half with both side cancelling each other out. Copleston got off to a better start in the second half when the ball fell for one of their strikers to finish. The Lasses responded well and equalised after a penalty was well blocked by the visitors keeper but the rebound was followed up by Shannon Odebrecht. This then spurred the home side on and they started to play their best football and a neat move involving Georgia O'Malley, Ellesse Masters and finished by Charley Curtis put the home side ahead. Charley then added her second and the Lasses third to seal the points.

Sun 13 Jan 2008 Copleston 2 Brandon Lasses 6

Copleston started this fixture brightly and kept the Lasses under pressure they were rewarded mid-way through the half  as they took the lead. Brandon responded well and equalised through Ellesse Masters. Chances were created both ends and the home side regained the lead before the interval.
The Lasses were much brighter in the second half with all the squad playing their part and equalised through Ellesse, Patricia Grazinni put Brandon in front followed by another three from Ellesse to give the Lasses a hard fought victory. Charley Curtis passed the ball well and was involved in a lot of the Lasses build up play. Chloe Slater came on and battled well as did Bethany Field. Once again Lucy Page put in very good defensive display and Georgia O'Malley continued to impress.

Sun 16 Dec 2007  Little Oakley 2 Brandon Lasses 6

Brandon Travelled to Essex for a league cup fixture and took an early lead through Chloe Killingworth. Ellesse Masters soon added their second followed by two goals from Shannon Odebrecht.H/t 5.0
Little Oakley had a good fight back in the second half pulling a goal back from a penalty followed by a second at this pointed they started to put the Lasses under pressure but Charley Curtis finished things off with her second and Brandon's 6th. Brandon have one more league cup fixture in the new year but already guaranteed a place in next Aprils finals.

Sun 9 Dec 2007 Brandon Lasses 9 Little Oakley 1
Little Oakley made the long trip from Essex for this league fixture against an in form Lasses side. Brandon started well going two up in two minutes through Ellesse Masters. Shannon Odebrecht and Chloe Killingworth added two more before Oakley pulled a goal back before half time
Brandon played some very good football in the second half and added another five goals through Charley Curtis, Shannon O, Chloe K and another two for Ellesse.
Georgia O'Malley put in a terrific second half performance with some great assists, and Chloe Killingworth continued to impress with a tireless display and two more goals.

Sat 8 Dec 2007 Poringland 0 Brandon Lasses 4 (Friendly)
Brandon travelled into Norfolk for a friendly fixture against Poringland. Both Ellesse Masters and Chloe Killingworth shared the goals as the Lasses won 0-4.

Sun 18 Nov 2007 Brandon Lasses 7 Copleston 1
Brandon went into this fixture knowing a victory would give them a place in the league cup final and had a great start when Georgia O'Malley gave Brandon the lead. Shannon Odebrecht scored with a great long range effort and Ellesse Masters made it three with a cool finish after good Lasses football. Bethany Field and Chloe Killingworth were both introduced and competed well for the Lasses. The visitors had chances but found Jodi Killingworth in good form and were unlucky just before the break when an intercepted goal kick hit the post. Early in the second half Bethany put in a good delivery from a corner with Charley Curtis finishing well and they then combined again for Charley's second. Ellesse scored again as Copleston failed to clear their lines and then completed her hat trick from a corner before Copleston pulled a deserved goal back five minutes from time.

Sun 11 Nov 2007 Bacton 3 Brandon Lasses 5
Brandon travelled to Bacton and fell behind in the opening minutes as the Lasses failed to clear their lines, they responded well as Ellesse Masters crossed for Charley Curtis to equalise. In an end to end game the home team regained the lead mid-way through the half and Brandon again had to chase the game and equalised just before the break again through Charley who lobbed the keeper from a corner.
Bacton started the second half well again regaining the advantage but again Brandon pulled it back with a well deserved goal from Georgia O'Malley. The Lasses then took the lead through Shannon Odebrecht and as Bacton pushed for an equaliser deep into injury time Charley Curtis completed a well taken hat trick.

Sun 28 Oct 2007 Brandon Lasses 9 Little Oakley 0
Brandon entertained Essex side Little Oakley in a league cup fixture and looked to have an early break through as Oakley conceded a penalty but the lasses failed to hit the target. The visitors were competing well as both side looked to take control but is was Brandon who made the break through after some great work in mid-field by Charley Curtis sending Shannon Odebrecht free to finish well. Ellesse Masters doubled the lead midway through the half with a very good individual goal. The Lasses then played some lovely football and Shannon added another three before the interval.
Brandon had a terrific start of the second half starting form some good passing football by Patricia Grazinni leading to Ellesse getting her well taken second, she then turned provider setting up Chloe Killingworth  and Shannon then added her fifth and sixth. Credit must go to Jodi Killingworth in goal who is improving every match and the defence of Lucy Page, Courtney Scott and Isabella Nowland who all worked hard to keep Oakley out.

The Lasses started this fixture well putting the home team under early pressure and took the lead through an og. Copleston then conceded a penalty which Shannon Odebrecht coolly converted followed by her second from a well worked corner. Ellesse Masters finished well from a tight angle to give the visitors a comfortable lead at half time.
The second half got of to a good start when Georgia O'Malley playing her Lasses debut match forced a good save with Shannon reacting first to complete her hat trick. Ellesse scored her second midway through the half to finish the scoring. This was a very good display to continue the girls unbeaten start to the season with some neat football and a clean sheet. 

Sun 23 Sept 2007 Bacton 1 Brandon Lasses 3
Brandon Travelled to Bacton looking to continue their good start to the season. Brandon started brightly and took lead through Ellesse Masters after 6 mins. Bacton defended well and the Lasses had to work hard to create chances. Midway through the half a good effort from Shannon Odebrecht set up Ellesse for her second reacting first after the keeper had made a good stop. 
Bacton worked hard in the second half to created chances but Lucy Page was in terrific form in the Lasses defence. Brandon always looked dangerous and Ellesse completed a well deserved hat trick before Bacton pulled a goal back as Brandon failed to clear a corner.

Brandon Lasses under 10 continued their good start to the season against Essex side Little Oakley. Sun 9 Sept 2007 Brandon Lasses 6 Bacton 1 (League Cup)
Brandon Lasses u/10's played there first competitive match at home to Bacton Utd  some good early pressure from Ellesse Masters forcing some good goal keeping from the visitors. Lucy Page  and Courtney Scott  defended well for the lasses and Shannon Odebrect, Charley Curtis and Ellesse looked in control in Midfield . Brandon took the lead mid-way through the half from a good goal clearance from Jodi Killingworth sending Shannon through to finish well, with in minutes she had added her second from a very well taken shot from 20yards. The visitors responded well and pulled a goal back but Brandon then responded with their third again from a good clearance from the keeper to Lucy who played a good ball to Ellesse who had work still to do as she brought the ball in and put a good finish across the goal for Bethany Field to tap in.
Brandon looked in control in the second half but Bacton put the pressure on with less than 10 mins. to go pulling another goal back but the Lasses responded with three goals in as many minutes from an impressive Shannon to make the final score  Brandon 6 Bacton 2
