Waveney Girls u11 6 Brandon Lasses 3
(Millie Bales 2, Georgia Dargan 1)
A minute’s applause was observed by both teams before kick off in memory of Martin Chappell.Brandon travelled to Lowestoft for this match, it started well with both teams playing good football and creating chances but on ten minutes Waveney broke forward and scored. Brandon’s heads didn't drop with Leah Zawiasa, Millie Bales, Georgia Dargan and Jessie Whybrow splitting the Waveney defence open, it was only going to be a matter of time before Brandon scored. On 15 minutes Brandon equalized with Millie Bales running at the home defence who parted for her to score. Waveney came forward again to go 2 - 1 up. Brandon really dug deep and played some really neat football, Suzy Duggan and Ruby Robertson were stopping everything in defence. Millie, Jessie, Leah and Georgia were attacking in waves and pressure finally told when Millie attacked the home defence again to score her second. The pressure didn't stop there, Georgia Dargan then had a run and beat the home defence, bundling the ball over the line for her second goal of the season. Half time Waveney Girls 2 Brandon Lasses 3.
The second half started with Katie Amacker in the Brandon goal the busier making a couple of smart saves, before Waveney scored to level the match. Brandon continued to push with Jessie Whybrow hitting a good shot on the run, which was saved well, with the rebound falling to Leah Zawiasa who had her shot cleared off the line. Waveney then scored again, then Brandon gave a needless penalty away. Millie went close to getting her hat trick but her shot was just wide, before Waveney went on to score again. A very good all round team performance by all Katie Page and Abbie Craigen who deserve mention for their part. Final score Waveney Girls 6 Brandon Lasses 3.

Brandon Lasses 1 Sprowston Girls 2
(Jess Whybrow 1)
Brandon went in to this game without having played for a couple of weeks,
but this did not show because inside 30 seconds Brandon took the lead.
Good play from the back found Leah Zawiasa, who found Millie Bales who squared,
to Jessie Whybrow who controlled and fired home into an empty net for her 5th goal
of the season. From the resulting kick off Sprowston put a ball across the face of, the
Brandon goal and amongst the confussion landing in an own goal. One minute gone and it is
now 1-1. Brandons heads did not drop and with the next attack the busy trio of Millie, Leah
and Jessie working well, this time Leah found Jessie who set Millie up, only for the keeper to
make a save. On 8 minutes from a Brandon goal kick Sprowston collected the ball ran forward
and scored. The Brandon girls heads didn't drop though and they had the lions share of the
first half, with Jessie putting good balls into the box. Ruby Robertson and Suzy Duggan were
in control in defence. Katie Amacker when called upon was making some good saves. Half time
Brandon Lasses 1 Sprowston Girls 2.
The second half started the same as the first finished Brandon playing good football,at the
same time piling on the pressure. The Sprowston defence was creaking but just about hanging on
then came a close shave, Sprowston were awarded a free kick just outside the area which was
excellently taken but Katie Amacker was equal to it and made a cracking save then followed up
the rebound with another great save. As the game pushed on there were chances either end.
Another fine save from Katie helped keep Brandon in the game. Brandon were unlucky to lose this
match, also a mention to Savannah Hatch, Georgia Dargan, Abbie Craigen and Freya Hayward for
their part. Final score Brandon Lasses 1 Sprowston girls 2. PoM Katie Amacker.

Brandon Lasses 5 Mulbarton Belles 2
( Millie Bales 2, Jess Whybrow 2, Suzy Duggan 1)
The Lasses needed to get off to a good start against the Belles and they did just that finding themselves 2-0 up with only 3 minutes gone. Mille Bales scored straight from the kick off & Jessie Whybrow found the net after some great passing from the Lasses. Brandon were passing the ball confidently around the pitch and were looking organised on the ball. Leah Zawiasa and Millie were making every tackle in the middle and controlling the game. A shell shocked Belles team settled down and started to have their share of chances eventually finding the net halfway through the first half. As the game progressed in the wind & rain a great battle was being fought in the midfield resulting in a few injuries on both sides. The Belles really pushed forward in the last 10 minutes but the defence of Katy Page & Ruby Robertson held strong with Katie Amacker confident in goal. Half time 2- 1.
The Lasses started the second half full of confidence with Millie making some great runs on goal. The Belles were holding on and having the odd counter attack but it wasn't long before Suzy Duggan found the net from close range for the Lasses. This didn't stop the Belles and although 3-1 down they got their reward through poor defending from Brandon. The Belles scored and were back in the match. Brandon were then dealt a real blow with Ruby having to come off through injury. Savannah Hatch and Freya Heyward were called on in the second half to do their bit and with Georgia Durgan & Jessie pushing forward on the wings Brandon started to take control again. The Lasses were having to change shape through injuries at this stage but all the girls gave everything in the last 10 minutes and were still playing excellent football. With only a few minutes on the clock left, Millie's cracking shot came off the post and was calmly slotted home by Jess for her second. After an outstanding match from the girls the best was yet to come as Millie received the ball on the half way line, took on several of the Belles before cracking the ball into the back of the net for her second of the day and Brandon's 5th. An outstanding performance by the Lasses! Final score Lasses 5 Belles 2. PoM Millie Bales.
(Lucy Page 1)
Brandon travelled to Firside confident after there last meeting, they started rightly and almost scored through Leah Zawiasa in the first minute but hit the post Millie Bales went close soon after followed by Jessie Whybrow but
they also hit woodwork. midway through first half when Brandon were continuing to dominate, they suffered a major setback when the regular keeper had to retire ill, which forced Brandon to reshuffle, Brandon continued to dominate but couldn't
apply finishing touch. half- time Firside 0 Brandon 0.
The second half was far more even Lucy Page was running midfield but with five minutes of the match left Firside had a long range effort that rifled in the top corner. Brandon didn't let their heads drop they pushed forward and won a free kick on the
edge of Firsides area and Lucy Page scored from it, that proved to be the last kick of the game. This meant extra time, both teams went all out to win and in the second period Firside had another long range shot and scored. Final score Firside 2 Brandon 1.
On a blustery day more suited to kite flying, Brandon were looking for their first
win of the season. Brandon from the beginning attacked Firside, piling on the pressure
they were playing, some lovely passing football. Ruby Robertson and Katie Page had everything covered at the back. The midfield of Georgia Dargan, Leah Zawiasa and debutant Ellesse Masters completely controlled midfield, while Millie Bales worked tersely up front.
It was no surprise that midway through first half Ellesse Masters made it 1 nil to the Lasses.
Brandon kept pushing with Leah hitting the post several times and Millie and Georgia going close, before Ellesse scored hers and Brandon’s second. With this Brandon’s heads were held even higher Katie Amacker in goal was a virtual spectator. Half time Brandon Lasses 2 Firside 0.
The second half started the same as the first, with Brandon putting Firside on the back foot. With Brandon looking comfortable, the first change was made. Firside did have an attack on goal, but Katie Amacker in goal was equal to it, with some more quick passing out of defence, through the middle where Jessie Whybrow picked the ball up and lobbed the keeper for Brandon’s 3rd. Firside did have a couple more attacks, with no outcome. Brandon were firing on all cylinders now Jessie scored her second Freya Hayward had one cleared of
the line. Lasses made it 5 nil when Jessie’s shot was deflected into there own net. Overall a tremendous all round effort.

Dereham Wanderers 9 Brandon Lasses 0
On a lovely warm saturday morning Brandon travelled to Dereham, for their first ever meeting and hopes high.
Brandon started the match the better, quickly creating a string of chances, but to no avail. Ten minutes to half time Dereham took a quick throw and scored from it, this was then followed by two more quick goals. Half time Dereham 3 Lasses 0
The second half started brightly but it wasn't long before, Brandon started to lose there way. With Derehams strength starting to tell, and the lack of Brandon's concentration, played a big part in Dereham scoring five more goals. Brandon though nearly scored with last kick of the game but Dereham's keeper saved well. Some fine individual performances. PoM Ruby Roberson

Brandon Lasses 0 Bohemians 4
Lasses U'11s kicked off their first competitive league game with Brandon having the run of play for the first 10 minutes.Jessie Whybrow & Georgia Durgan both going close to scoring early on. Bohemians then scored despite great defending from Ruby Robertson & Katie Page. Katie Amacker pulled off three magnificent saves in the space of 2 minutes to keep the Bohemians out, but on 22 minutes they were too strong & scored their second goal.
Brandon started the second half on top again but despite long periods of possession & pressure could not put the ball in the back of the net.
Leah Zawiasa & Millie Bales were passing the ball well through midfield and creating chances for Ellisha Savage, Freya Hayward & Savannah Hatch who all played their part. Bohemians started to pile on the pressure & scored 2 more goals on 11 & 24 minutes. Katie Amacker continued to pull off some great saves with Millie & Leah going close to scoring in the last couple of minutes. The Lasses showed great strength & continued to battle throughout the game. In the final minute Ruby's excellent free kick found Leah in the box whose shot was well saved. The Lasses can be very proud of their first competitive performance. POM Katie Page
Ipswich Valley Rangers 2 Brandon Lasses 2
Brandon Lasses travelled to Ipswich Valley Rangers on a very hot sunday afternoon,
and they put in a terrific performance. Dominating large parts of the game the lasses went
2-0 down against the run of play. However they kept their heads with goals coming from
Georgia Dargan and a last minute equalizer from Elisha savage. A very good solid performance all round.
