The Football Association has declared that ALL under 7 and under 8 football will be 'non-competitive' this season, although for most of these players this will be the most competitive 30 minutes or so of sport which they will undertake each week. The F.A. has decided that in the interests of Child Protection that no results, no match reports or indeed no record of any player, squad or league perfomance can be published for these squads. This applies to all youth clubs across England.
It is for this reason that Brandon Lads & Lasses AFC cannot publish on its website any details of matches played for squads playing 'non-competitive' football. We apologise in advance to the parents, and especially to the players, and hope that you understand the situation.
Squads playing in age ranges of under 9 and above are not controlled by this 'Child Protection' legislation and this website will publish match reports which will feature those players' and squads' achievements each week. This Club understands that when players reach personal goals through their own dedication, or their squad achieves success through being motivated by a coach who encourages teamworking, then they like others to know about it.
We will notify you of any changes in legislation should they occur.
